Yakovlevs History
The Yakovlevs aerobatic display team is a civil UK four-ship team flying on Russian build Yak-52 airplanes. The lead plane is a specially build for the team two-seat and more powerful engine version - Super Yak-52. The team is formed in 1999 by its owner Jez Hopkinson, while the first public display is in 2000. In 2001 the Yakovlevs receives its present paint scheme in silver and red colors.
